Cruise Con - What's Happening at the Telus World of Science?


It has also been affectionately called the "silver golf ball". Science World can be easily identified as the giant sphere situated along False Creek, the geodesic dome shape, with its unique exterior design. Has been a popular destination for science enthusiasts ranging from elementary school students to adults, better known to Vancouverites simply as Science World, telus World of Science.

And anything that you can possibly think of relating to genomics, stem cells, genomes, dNA, topics include genes. Which focuses on genomics, in Genome. The current exhibition at Science World is GEEE! So it may be a good idea to keep track of what exhibitions are coming to town so you don't miss out on the ones you want to see, exhibitions are usually shown for a limited time only. Which was highly anticipated, the anatomical exhibition of real human body parts, past exhibition includes Body Worlds. Various exhibitions and shows are happening at Science World all the time.

The following is a summary of the currently airing feature films. Starting at 11 am, forty-five minute long documentaries are shown throughout the day. That is nine times larger than regular movie theatre screens, one of the world's largest, the OMNIMAX theatre is a 400-seat theatre showing various documentaries on a giant screen.

Beavers

As they tackle on the world around them, the world's greatest engineers, this film focuses on a family of beavers.

Journey to Mecca: In the Footsteps of Ibn Battuta

Undertakes a journey through the Islamic civilization from Tangier to Mecca in the years 1325 and 1326, a great explorer, ibn Battuta.

Adrenaline Rush: The Science of Risk

Learn about why some people enjoy taking risks such as extreme skydiving and base jumping.

Van Gogh: Brush with Genius

Dive into the life of Van Gogh and learn about the various places that inspired him and his artwork.

So please check the schedule ahead of time to avoid disappointment, feature films are only available for a limited time, as with the feature exhibitions.

They provide a wealth of information and hands-on activities for both kids and adults to fill in the time between films and presentations. And Science News and Views, search, bodyWorks, our World, eureka, they are: Kidspace. There are 6 permanent galleries within Science World.

However, there are no restriction that these adults must behave like adults. Where adults 19 years and older can enjoy a night at Science World without any kids around, there are also adult-only events. The upcoming Polar PJ Party allows visitors to come dressed in their comfy pajamas and catch a showing of The Polar Express. Other events are also happening at the Science World.
